Author Guidelines

1. Introduction

ERUDITIO - Indonesia Journal of Food and Drugs Safety publishes a scientific paper or journal published by Pusat Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan (PPSDM POM), Indonesia. This journal covers the results of the study and review of the literature in the sphere of food and drugs safety. First published in 2020 for online and printed version. The aims of ERUDITIO are to disseminate research results and to improve the productivity of scientific publications of civil servant in Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan. ERUDITIO is published half-yearly in June and December.

2. Template

The manuscript must be submitted anonymously, while the author's identity is written in a separate front matter file.

3. General Guidelines

General guidelines for writing in ERUDITIO are as follows :

• Written in English or Indonesian
• The length of submitted paper is at least 10 pages and no more than 20 pages (approximately 4000 - 7000 words)
• Make sure that your paper is prepared using the ERUDITIO Template
• At least 20 references, with 80% coming from the original research article (Journal)

4. Guidelines for The Manuscript Body Text

Scientific articles published in ERUDITIO must follow the rules of writing in the paper body. 

Title: The title should be informative (consisting of not more than 16 words) and be followed by the surname and forename (in full) of each author, affiliation, and e-mail address (complete with postcode) of the corresponding author (this author being identified by an asterisk).

Abstract: The abstract should describe the entire content of the article with a maximum of 250 words. References to figures and tables are not allowed. It is written in a straightforward, concise manner and must include:

• Background 
• Research objective
• Method
• Result
• Conclusion

Keyword: Use keywords that can describe the content of the article. It is written in 3 to 5 words or phrases arranged in alphabetical order.

Introduction: The introduction provides general background research, a literature review (state of the art), the research's originality (gap analysis), and the research objectives. In the literature review, at least five articles are briefly reviewed to justify the novelty of the research.

Method: The methods section provides a detailed description of the methods used, such as the subjects studied, tools and materials used, the model or design used, the sampling technique, the measured variable, the analysis, and the statistical models used.

Results and Discussion: Results should be clear and concise. State the results obtained using the methods employed. Do not present the same data in both table and graph formats. Discuss your data by comparing the current reported data with the previous results. Highlight the similarities, differences, and uniqueness of your findings. Explain why your result(s) are coming to be.

Conclusions: The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion section.

Acknowledgments: Mention individuals or funding sources supporting the research.

References: All published works cited in the text must be listed alphabetically without numbering. At least 20 references, with 80% of the references from publications within the last five years. Style referral source citations in ERUDITIO using APA style. It is advisable to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.
